What is CoMe-CCT?

The acronym CoMe-CCT stands for Collaborative Meta-Analysis of Cardiac CT. CoMe-CCT represents an individual patient data (IPD) meta-analysis which investigates the diagnostic potential of coronary computed tomography (CT) angiography to evaluate coronary artery stenoses in patients with suspected coronary artery disease (CAD). The aim of the project is to determine which patients benefit most from noninvasive coronary CT angiography.
The IPD is registered with the PROSPERO database (registration number: CRD42012002780) and funded by the BMBF (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung – German Federal Ministry of Education and Research).
The steering committee of the project consists of renowned experts from the field of cardiac imaging: Stephan Achenbach (Erlangen, Germany), Matthew Budoff (Los Angeles, USA), Mario J. Garcia (New York, USA), and Marc Dewey (Berlin, Germany), who conceived the idea for this project. The committee is completed by the project´s statistician Peter Schlattmann (Jena, Germany).
